To introduce you to your ProTraining Pet First Aid course, this section begins with a short introduction and course overview before you meet our vet and learn your role as a first aider, and when veterinary care is required. You will learn how to keep your pet safe in an emergency, and how to pet-proof your home. We will look at how pets show pain, and how to check your pet's health, including taking a pulse and pet first aid kits.

This section begins with what to do if your cat has an accident before we look at respiratory problems and how to carry out CPR. You will learn about drowning, including near and secondary drowning and their treatment. You will learn how to deal with Shock and how to treat fractures and spinal injuries, including the safe moving of an injured dog.

In this section, you will learn about the most common illnesses we see in pets, their signs and symptoms, and when to seek veterinary help.

In this section, you will learn about older dogs, smaller pets, and including reptiles.
